Family of 7 die mysteriously in Lagos
Lagos State police command has confirmed the death of a man, his wife and five children in a mysterious circumstance.
Its Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, disclosed that the mysterious death was discovered on May 1.
The man, Etim Edet, was said to be a member of staff of Nigerian Breweries Plc.
Braide said at about 4p.m, Edet alongside members of his immediate family were discovered inside their apartment at Bagido area of Ijede in Ikorodu, dead.
According to the spokesperson, “Etim Edet was a staff member of Nigerian Brewery Plc, Lagos. He was found dead with his wife and five children on their beds at his residence at Bagido area of Ijede.
“No sign of violence was seen on their bodies.
“The deceased were suspected to have died from generator fumes.
“The decomposed corpses have been removed to Ikorodu General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
“The incident is under investigation at Ijede Division.”
Braide also confirmed the rescue of three children from suspected kidnappers.
The kids were reportedly rescued by policemen attached to the Ojo Police Station, based on a tip-off.
“Policemen attached to Ojo Division acted on a tip-off and arrested one Iheanachor Collins of unknown address at CTU Point Iyana-Iba, with three male children allegedly abducted from one Iyabo Lawal at Ojo area of Lagos.
“The children were rescued and handed over to their parents.
“The case is now under investigation at Ojo Division,” she explained.
