Boko Haram kills 10 in Borno attack

MAIDUGURI – No fewer than 10 commuters and motorists were slaughtered by suspected Boko Haram terrorists along Maiduguri- Beneshiek- Damaturu road, while about 7 vehicles abandoned by theiroccupants were seized. Continuing, ” Some motorists upon sighting the danger had to make u- turn and quickly drove to Maiduguri, while others found their way back to Beneshiekh and Damaturu, where they reported the incident to security operatives. He added that, although, the securitymen responded swiftly by mobilizing to the scene where they succeeded in killing some of the terrorists in an exchange of gunfire, others fled into the bush. When contacted on phone for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gideon Jubrin said he is not aware of the incident, but a top security source confirmed the incident, adding that, “about 10 people were killed while some vehicles were seized on Maiduguri- Beneshiekh road by suspected terrorists on Thursday evening”.
